Extra Curriculars

While my extra curricular activities do not directly include my career aspirations, I do allow these actives to represent the values and beliefs that I highly value- (are of my own and do not present/directly represent the places I work for). I believe my voice is a place of representation and when I can, I ensure my voice can uplift others. Advocacy work for- women in sports & representation of minority girls and women in sport and NCAA Division 3 Athletics.

I am a member of "GALvanize"- an organization dedicated to women in sports, headed by Laura Okmin. With GALvanize I had the opportunity to interview NFL reporter Steve Wyche for our "WHO not DO series" that highlighted who he was outside of his prolific career and the well known breaking of the Colin Kaepernick story.

I am a strong advocate for women and sports. I was also interviewed as a D3 basketball player in the MIAA Conference where I was able to highlight both my basketball career and experience as a women in sports.
